What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with at least three years’ professional front-end development experience.
You should have strong experience using modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript or TypeScript to build responsive web applications.
Experience with a front-end framework such as React, Vue or Next.js would be valuable.
You should understand accessible design and development, including how to create websites that work well for users with different needs and across a range of devices.
You should be comfortable working from designs or wireframes, collaborating with designers and back-end developers, and reviewing code from less experienced developers.
We would particularly welcome experience with user registration, booking, or payment journeys, and an interest in designing digital services for children, young people, and families.

What will you be doing?
We are looking for a Senior Front-end Developer to help build and improve Ignite Hubs’ digital products.
Your initial focus will be our new website, including course information, registration and booking journeys.
You may also support selected front-end work for the Ignite Learning & Careers Hub and Ignite Portal, which are being developed by volunteers and external partners.
Working with Product Owners, designers and other developers, you will
Build responsive, accessible and user-friendly web pages and features.Turn agreed designs and requirements into high-quality front-end code.Help create clear journeys for children, young people and parents.Review front-end code and provide constructive feedback to junior developers.Help ensure the website works well across mobile, tablet and desktop devices.Identify and resolve front-end bugs and usability issues.Work with back-end developers to connect user interfaces to registration, account and payment systems.
