GCP Data Engineer with Java

We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong Java background to join a global team (based in Cracow) responsible for developing and enhancing a strategic cloud-based risk platform. You will work on scalable data pipelines and microservices that process large volumes of real-time and batch data, supporting critical business functions. Working in an agile environment, you will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across multiple locations to deliver innovative solutions and contribute to the ongoing evolution of a modern, data-driven platform. Your tasks Designing and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions based on business requirementsIntegrating internal systems with a focus on efficient data processing and cost optimizationDeveloping and maintaining solution blueprints for market data ingestion and processingReviewing and improving existing data pipelines, microservices, and peer solutionsCollaborating with engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure successful deliveryImplementing best practices for logging, monitoring, error handling, and automated recoveryPromoting automated testing, including unit and regression tests, within a test-driven development approach Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience with Java and object-oriented design principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS)Hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot and its ecosystemProven ability to design and implement scalable data processing pipelinesStrong track record in building REST APIs and distributed applicationsKnowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL and BigtableGood understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices, including Jenkins and Groovy scriptingStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsAdvanced level of English Job no.
