A close-knit technology team is looking for a Product Engineer who enjoys owning the full product loop. You will speak with users, understand their problems, shape solutions, design and build them, launch them to real customers, and continuously decide what to improve next. The role suits a hands-on builder who enjoys moving quickly from idea to shipped software.

Highlights

Own products end to end, from understanding user problems through design, development, launch, and continuous iteration. The role offers strong autonomy, direct user feedback, and close collaboration in a small Belgian technology team.

Description

This role is about taking a new product or solution from a first conversation to something you designed and built yourself, and then owning it as it grows. You talk to the people with the problem, shape what it should be, design it, build it, put it in front of real users, and keep deciding what it becomes next. Twintag gives physical products a digital identity: scan the code on a product or a package and you reach its data, its documents, its services. We are a close-knit Belgian team and the platform is live with real customers. The distance between deciding and shipping is short here, on purpose. No specification handed over a wall, no waiting for someone else's sprint. You form the idea, you build it, you watch it meet real users, and you change it. If that whole loop is the part of the work you actually enjoy, you get all of it. This is a building role. Line management and HR sit elsewhere, and when a piece of work is big enough to need more hands, you pull a few colleagues together and lead it until it ships. You report to the CTO and work alongside seriously strong engineers who each own their own area. There is a daily stand-up, two days a week together in the office in Berchem and three at home, so you get the deep-work time without disappearing. Everything here is AI-enabled by default. Where this ad says design it, build it, ship it, assume agents are in the loop. We buy whatever makes it faster, how far you push it is up to you, and the quality of what comes out is yours to answer for. The road to production is paved too: you work in GitHub, and Twintag or ArgoCD takes it from there, so your time goes on the product rather than on pipelines. What your day-to-day can look like Own products and solutions end to end, from the first conversation to something running in the field.Work directly with the people who have the problem: our own domain experts, prospects, customers and partners. Turn a vague idea into a use case that holds up.Get properly into the domain before you design. These problems are always made of something specific: a standard, a certification regime, the way a job actually gets done in a workshop. You learn enough of it to make calls that hold up.Write the solution design, and get the rest of the company behind it. You are the one who convinces us, not the other way round.Build it. TypeScript and React on the Twintag platform.Stay with it after the first release. Watch how it gets used, decide what comes next, and ship that too. A first version is the start of a product, not the end of a project.Make it something the company can carry: documentation, templates and structure that make it sellable and supportable, and let colleagues contribute without needing you in the room. Not so you can leave it behind, so it can grow past what one person has time for. Job requirements Several years building and shipping web applications, with real depth in TypeScript and React. You have owned a product end to end at least once, not assisted on one: talked to the users, decided what to build, and built it. Job titles matter less than that pattern. You know where these tools help and where they quietly cost you.Comfortable in front of customers and partners, explaining technical things to people who are not technical.Able to go and understand an unfamiliar domain, a regulation, a standard or an industrial process, well enough to design against it.You finish. You would rather ship one thing that holds up than start three. You have started something before, inside a company or outside it, and you want to do it again with a platform and customers already in place. You care more about making something work than about how it looks on a slide.Fluent English. Dutch is an advantage for customer and partner conversations here, and it is not a requirement.Experience with APIs, integrations, identifiers or physical-to-digital systems is a plus. Job perks Attractive compensation package, electric company car and home charger, 32 annual holidays, extensive group and health insurance, monthly net expenses, meal vouchers, smartphone and more. Two days a week in the office in Berchem, Antwerp and three at home, with occasional travel to customers. How to apply Send your CV and a few lines on something you built end to end to hr@twintag.com. The process: an intro call, a working session on a real problem, then an offer. About two weeks from first call to decision. Not sure whether you fit the description? Our recruitment motto is to hire for talent, train for skill, so reach out anyway and give it a shot.
