Mid/Senior Java Backend Engineer — Insurance — Build scalable Enterprise platforms for global insurance.
Hybrid, Poland (Kraków / Gdańsk / Łódź / Poznań).
Join an international team (Scandinavia / Belgium / Poland) building proprietary, scalable Enterprise-class platforms for the global insurance sector, processing millions of operations a month across the full policy lifecycle and claims settlement — including financial settlement, accounting, investment fund, and claims modules.
We're looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer (5+ years) with a strong backend foundation and openness to gradually growing into Angular/frontend work over time.
What You'll Do
→ Design and develop backend services in Java (Spring Boot) for financial settlement, accounting, investment fund, and claims-handling modules
→ Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs and integrations with external providers
→ Own architecture and code quality — Clean Code, design patterns, code review
What We're Looking For
→ 5+ years of commercial Java/Spring Boot experience and strong REST API design skills
→ English at B2 level or higher, Polish at A1/A2 level
→ Openness to AI-assisted programming (Spec Driven Development)
Up to 25,000 PLN gross (UoP) or B2B equivalent, plus private medical care with Allianz, a Multisport cafeteria package, and an individual training/conference budget.
