About the role
We need a hands-on front-end developer who owns our Shopify storefronts, so marketing can launch campaigns fast and customers get a site that works on every device.
You will build and maintain theme code in Liquid, ship landing pages and promo builds on deadline, keep the storefront fast and accessible, and help release changes safely every month.
This is not a page-builder or drag-and-drop role, not a VA role, and not a pure "AI agent" role.
It is practical storefront ownership: build it correctly, test it, and leave clean code the next developer can maintain.
What you will own
Shopify theme development: sections, blocks, snippets, and templates in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (Online Store 2.0)Landing pages and promo builds for product launches and campaigns, matched to design and delivered on deadlineStorefront performance, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility (Core Web Vitals, image and script optimization)Metafields, metaobjects, and dynamic content so marketing can update pages without code changesCart and checkout customizations within Shopify's platform limits, plus app and theme integration issuesMonthly release work: branch, test, UAT coordination, and deploy handoffRegression testing of key storefront and checkout flows (Playwright or similar)Clear documentation (theme notes, runbooks) and written updates in English across time zones

3+ years of hands-on Shopify theme development with LiquidStrong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including responsive and mobile-first buildsExperience with Online Store 2.0 architecture, metafields, and custom sectionsFigma-to-code experience with attention to visual detailGit-based workflow with Shopify CLI and GitHub-connected themesComfortable owning storefront problems end-to-end, from bug report to verified fixSolid English (written and spoken)Based in Indonesia, with some daily overlap for California (Pacific Time) check-ins
