Coda Search is proud to partner with an established, growing financial software company to hire a Director of DevOps Engineering. Candidates must live within a reasonable commute of the northeast Atlanta suburbs for two onsite days per week. Location: Northeast Atlanta Suburbs, OTP - Gwinnett Region (Hybrid) Base Salary: ~$175K, commensurate with experience Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and tuition reimbursement Schedule: Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite What's in it for you? Build the function: You'll own DevOps and release management for the whole engineering organization and set the tooling, standards, and release strategy.Real investment behind you: The company is in the middle of a funded technology modernization, and this seat sits at the center of it.Measurable impact: You'll set and move DORA metrics, so the results of your work show up in hard numbers.Leadership with your hands on the keyboard: You'll lead a team of 6 to 7 DevOps engineers and still work directly in the pipelines and infrastructure code.Stable, established business: The product is mature with a loyal customer base, so your focus is modernization instead of survival. What will your day look like? Own release management: Define release cadence, versioning, release coordination, and production change controls across engineering.Architect CI/CD: Design and continuously improve pipeline architecture and standardize tooling across teams.Lead Infrastructure as Code: Drive IaC and policy-as-code practices on Azure, with Terraform or similar tooling.Modernize deployments: Put in progressive delivery, including Blue/Green and Canary releases, automated rollback, and ephemeral per-branch environments.Embed DevSecOps: Build automated security scanning and policy enforcement into the pipeline in partnership with Security.Run Kubernetes workloads: Support containerized deployment and routing on Kubernetes.Partner across the org: Work with Engineering, Security, and QA on release readiness, deployment safety, and incident learning.Develop the team: Hire, coach, and manage the performance of a team of 6 to 7 DevOps engineers. Who are you? Experienced: You have 8+ years in DevOps, release engineering, or software engineering.A proven people leader: You've directly managed a DevOps or engineering team for 3+ years, including hiring and performance management.Hands-on in Azure: You've run production workloads in Microsoft Azure. This is required.An IaC and pipeline builder: You've designed CI/CD architecture and release processes at scale, using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps, with Terraform or similar IaC.Fluent in containers and modern delivery: You've worked with Docker and Kubernetes in production and have shipped with progressive delivery patterns.A change agent: You'd rather build and modernize a function than maintain one, and you bring structure and automation to environments that are still maturing.
