# DevOps Engineer ## About the Role AmeriSave Mortgage is a leading direct mortgage lender focused on innovation, data, digital technology, and customer experience. As the company expands across mortgage, home equity, and consumer lending products, technology remains a core part of its business. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with developers, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and support reliable application delivery. The role focuses on infrastructure management, cloud resources, CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, DevSecOps, release engineering, data management, and monitoring and observability. ## Key Responsibilities * Act as a liaison between development, QA, and operations teams to align goals and streamline workflows. * Provision and maintain servers, storage, networking, and cloud resources across on-premises and cloud environments. * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment scripts. * Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to reduce manual processes. * Integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle. * Design processes for data collection, storage, and usage within systems. * Manage application builds, deployments, and rollbacks. * Set up and maintain logging, alerting, and performance monitoring capabilities. * Work with Datadog, IBM Turbonomic, and Azure Monitoring for monitoring and observability. * Support continuous delivery, infrastructure automation, and Agile development practices. * Collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams. ## Required Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of experience with the relevant DevOps technologies and practices. * Experience with Linux/Unix environments. * Scripting experience with Python, Bash, and Terraform. * Experience with Azure cloud platforms. * Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. * Experience with CI/CD tools including GitLab CI and GitHub Actions. * Experience with Git and GitLab build pipelines. * Knowledge of networking and database management. * Familiarity with YAML, Java, TypeScript, and Node.js. * Understanding of Agile, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation. * Strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Ability to adapt and collaborate across cross-functional teams. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field. ## Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting DevSecOps practices. * Experience managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. * Experience with Datadog, IBM Turbonomic, or Azure Monitoring. * Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment environments. ## Skills & Competencies * DevOps * Azure * Linux/Unix * Python * Bash * Terraform * Docker * Kubernetes * OpenShift * GitLab CI * GitHub Actions * Git * GitLab build pipelines * CI/CD * Infrastructure as Code (IaC) * DevSecOps * Networking * Database management * YAML * Java * TypeScript * Node.js * Application deployment and release engineering * Monitoring and observability * Datadog * IBM Turbonomic * Azure Monitoring * Agile and continuous delivery * Cross-functional collaboration * Problem-solving and communication ## Education & Experience **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field. **Experience:** Minimum 3 years of experience with the specified DevOps technologies and practices, including cloud platforms, scripting, containerization, CI/CD, version control, networking, and database management. ## Work Arrangement & Schedule * Remote work. * High-speed internet is required. * Cable or Fiber internet connection with Ethernet capability is required. * Minimum internet speeds: * Basic use: 70/30 Mbps * Shared use: 200–300/35–70 Mbps * Heavy use: 500–1,000/100+ Mbps ## Compensation & Benefits **Annual Compensation:** $135,000–$175,000. **Benefits include:** * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Employee discounts * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * 12 paid holidays per year * Paid training * Referral program * Vision insurance **Supplemental Pay:** * Referral bonuses ## Compliance / Additional Information AmeriSave Mortgage is an equal opportunity employer and states that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
