Business Systems Engineer Senior Full-Stack / AI-Focused Location: Edinburgh Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Role Our client is a growing, technology-driven organisation operating within the global supply chain sector. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a Business Systems Engineer to help improve, automate, and scale critical business processes across sales, operations, inventory management, and fulfilment. This is a hands-on software engineering role that combines technical delivery with process improvement. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to identify challenges, design solutions, and deliver measurable improvements through software, integrations, and automation. Key Responsibilities Analyse business processes and identify improvement opportunities.Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions.Build and maintain APIs and system integrations.Improve system reliability, performance, and data quality.Deliver automation and AI-assisted workflow improvements.Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.Produce and maintain technical documentation.Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, warehousing, CRM, ERP, or similar operational environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
