Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud & Automation) with Security Clearance

Automate everything. Linchpin Software is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who treats infrastructure as code and automation as a default. You'll work across the whole stack: data pipelines, application systems, security, and enterprise platforms. You'll make all of it more reliable, repeatable, and secure. Our engineers use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, GitLab Duo) to move faster and cut toil. If you like leaving systems better than you found them, you'll fit right in. What You'll Do: Build and maintain cloud infrastructure entirely as code Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for application and data workloads Automate deployment, configuration, patching, and operations tasks Support data pipelines and application systems in production Build security and compliance into infrastructure and pipelines Troubleshoot complex issues across enterprise systems Required: Active Top Secret clearance 8+ years of DevOps, cloud, or systems engineering experience Hands-on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar) Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) Ability to work full-time, on-site in Chantilly, VA Preferred: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent) GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar pipeline tooling Experience with data pipelines and enterprise systems (search, databases, middleware) Security hardening and DevSecOps practices Linux / RHEL administration What You'll Gain: Broad ownership across cloud, data, application, and security systems A team that values automation over manual work Hands-on experience with AI-accelerated engineering A stable, long-term mission program Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000, plus competitive benefits.
