Cloud & Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Engenious is looking for an experienced Cloud & Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join an international project for one of our clients. This is a hands-on cloud infrastructure and operations role supporting an enterprise AI Platform. You will be responsible for designing, operating, securing and continuously improving cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments. The role focuses on infrastructure, networking, identity, automation, security and reliability rather than application development. What you will do Design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable and reliable Azure and AWS infrastructure across PoC, non-production and production environments.Operate and continuously improve enterprise cloud environments supporting critical platform services.Manage cloud networking, routing, DNS, firewalls, private endpoints and secure connectivity patterns.Support hybrid connectivity between cloud environments and enterprise infrastructure.Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, performance and connectivity issues.Manage Microsoft Entra ID, service principals, managed identities, role assignments and access models.Apply least-privilege principles and support access governance and audit activities.Manage secrets and support credential lifecycle processes.Develop and maintain Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code automation.Standardize and automate infrastructure deployments across environments.Support CI/CD integration for infrastructure deployments.Implement monitoring, alerting, backup, resilience and disaster recovery mechanisms.Support vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security improvements.Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.Ensure infrastructure is stable, secure and operationally ready for production workloads.Take ownership of infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation and ongoing operation.Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Infrastructure and Security teams on architecture and operational improvements.What we are looking for Strong hands-on experience operating enterprise cloud infrastructure in Azure and AWS.Solid practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.Strong knowledge of cloud networking, including connectivity, routing, DNS, firewalls and private networking.Experience with Microsoft Entra ID / IAM, service principals, managed identities and role-based access.Experience supporting production-grade cloud environments and critical services.Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.Good understanding of cloud security and infrastructure best practices.Ability to independently take ownership of infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation.Comfortable working across multiple technical domains: cloud, networking, identity, security and automation.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams.Nice to have Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or Azure API Management (APIM).Experience with AWS Bedrock or other AI-related cloud services.Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements.Experience with observability and monitoring platforms.Experience working in enterprise platform / shared-services environments.Experience with production AI platforms or other highly scalable cloud platforms.What we are looking for in a person You take ownership of infrastructure reliability and operational excellence.You are comfortable working hands-on across Azure, AWS, networking, IAM and Terraform.You have a security-first mindset.You can work independently and make infrastructure decisions while collaborating with wider engineering teams.You value automation, standardization and maintainable solutions.You proactively identify risks and improve the platform rather than only reacting to incidents.
