Leverage Scala for maintaining high-volume backend microservices and design backend architecture for an energy flexibility and trading platform;Undertake greenfield development of new microservices using Kotlin and Spring Boot to establish a future-proof ecosystem;Ensure timely delivery of implementations by communicating effectively with stakeholders and working independently;Demonstrate code excellence through clean, efficient, and well-documented code, participating in the full SDLC including testing and QA;For this specific project, we require prior experience with Scala because we have a tight deadline to finish it by the end of 2026, and it involves working with our legacy systems; Communicate with the stakeholders and independently ensure the implementation is delivered on time. Requirements What do you bring? Senior-level backend software engineering experience; Expertise in JVM languages, specifically Scala;Strong background or deep interest in functional programming and API design; Proactive "learning by doing" mindset; Passion for environmental sustainability and thrives in a diverse work environment.
