About the Role Ready to build the cloud infrastructure behind the next generation of AI? We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer who will design and operate the cloud infrastructure behind our AI and software solutions. You will work closely with clients, project managers, software engineers, and AI teams, taking ownership of Azure environments from architecture and deployment to automation and operations. What you’ll do: Contribute to the migration and modernization of applications and services to Azure, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellenceBuild and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability solutions, and deployment automation, supporting both enterprise applications and AI/ML workloadsCollaborate with machine learning engineers and infrastructure teams to enable production-ready AI solutions, including MLOps workflows and Azure AI servicesWork directly with clients (both remotely and in-person), combining strong technical expertise with excellent interpersonal skills Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related fieldsStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environmentsExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automationExperience designing and operating Azure landing zones, governance, and access models for production environmentsKnowledge of Azure networking, identity, security, governance, and monitoring servicesExperience with container technologies and orchestration tools (Docker, Azure Container Apps, or similar)Familiarity with Git-based workflows (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket)Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skillsProficiency in English Nice to Have: Experience with KubernetesExperience with observability tools, logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring (e.g. Azure Monitor, Application Insights, OpenTelemetry)Understanding of scalability, resilience, disaster recovery, and cloud cost optimizationExperience supporting ML or AI workloads in productionExperience with Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry, or Azure OpenAI ServiceBackground in manufacturing or engineering domainsGerman language is a plus We offer: Full-time permanent contractCompetitive compensation and growth opportunitiesA stimulating scientific environment with an informal working atmosphereMentorship and continuous learning and close relationship with cutting-edge research teams
