Description

For our client, we are seeking a PHP Application Architect to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will architect and evolve PHP-based application solutions that support core business operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will partner closely with technical experts and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure scalable design, strong code quality, and reliable system performance. You will also help guide sprint planning, coordinate development resources, and translate business needs into incremental technical delivery. In addition, this position will leverage AI-enabled development approaches and modern API integrations to enhance product functionality and maintain high availability. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $132,500 – $149,500 annually Responsibilities Architect and integrate PHP/Symfony components to meet organizational needs. Collaborate with team members and technical experts to maintain code quality and system integrity. Develop incremental and strategic solutions within defined sprints. Facilitate requirements analysis and manage resources during sprint planning. Integrate AI features using LLM APIs to enhance product functionality. Ensure high system availability through effective maintenance practices. Document efforts and communicate results to diverse stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of application development experience with PHP 8 and the Symfony framework. Experience leading onshore and offshore development teams. Familiarity with API design, including RESTful APIs and webhooks. Proficiency with project management tools like JIRA and GitHub. Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools for development purposes. Strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented and agile mindset.
