Senior Software Developer

As Caysure Digital continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a Senior Developer to help improve, maintain and continually develop our products. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical skillset and experience building and maintaining large-scale business applications. You will be involved in designing, developing and testing new features, supporting our existing applications and helping shape our technical approach. Our technology stack includes Microsoft Azure, Java and Spring Boot, Lucee 7, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript, Cypress and Docker. We also use services including Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory and Azure AI Foundry. What you will doSupport and develop our existing applications through bug fixes, improvements and new featuresDesign and develop new functionality based on client and business requirementsHelp ensure product features are delivered to the required level of qualityProactively participate in the full Scrum development lifecycleDevelop and maintain REST APIs and third-party integrationsContribute to our Java and Spring Boot REST APIDevelop and support Azure Functions and other Azure servicesWork closely with QA to improve our Cypress automated test coverageConduct regular peer code reviewsSupport and mentor other members of the development teamIdentify and raise technical issues or suggested improvementsHelp maintain the quality of our products throughout the development lifecycleWhat you will haveAt least five years’ commercial software development experienceExperience with Lucee or CFMLJava and Spring Boot experienceExperience building and maintaining object-oriented web applicationsStrong Microsoft SQL Server experienceExperience developing and consuming REST APIsGood JavaScript, HTML and CSS knowledgeExperience using Git and BitbucketExperience working with Microsoft AzureExperience working with Docker and containerised applicationsA good understanding of secure, maintainable software developmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work independently as part of a remote teamWhat you may haveExperience with ColdBox, TestBox or MockBoxCypress or other test automation experienceExperience with Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory or Azure AI FoundryLeadership or mentoring experienceCI/CD experienceExperience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or AngularExperience working within insurance, claims or document management
