We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for a Mid/Senior GCP Platform Engineer in our Digital Channels team. In the role of Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to the design, implementation and continuous improvement of cloud platform services, automation capabilities and engineering standards on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for Commerzbank. You will work primarily with Google Cloud technologies and support secure, scalable and compliant cloud environments that enable product, application and data teams to deliver business solutions efficiently and reliably. The role includes close collaboration with software engineers, platform engineers, architects, security specialists and operations teams to improve automation, developer experience and operational excellence. Your responsibilities would consist of: Designing, implementing and continuously improving Google Cloud platform services and cloud foundations;Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Google Cloud-native services;Building, maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise and modern DevOps practices;Implementing monitoring, logging, alerting and observability capabilities for cloud-hosted services;Designing and operating containerized workloads using Kubernetes (GKE) and cloud-native runtime platforms;Implementing and managing cloud networking, IAM and security controls across multiple environments;Automating operational processes through scripting and platform engineering practices;Developing reusable cloud modules, deployment templates and automation frameworks;Collaborating with development and platform teams to improve software delivery, reliability and developer experience;Contributing to cloud architecture, engineering standards and technical decision-making;Ensuring secure, compliant and auditable cloud solutions in a regulated enterprise environment;Troubleshooting technical issues and continuously improve platform reliability, scalability and operational resilience;Documenting standards, implementing decisions, operational runbooks and engineering best practices. The skills and experience we would like you to have: Proven experience with designing, implementing and operating cloud infrastructure and platform services using Google Cloud technologies;Strong experience with designing and implementing GCP landing zone capabilities, platform services and reusable cloud patterns;Proven experience in developing and maintaining Terraform modules, configurations and standards for cloud platform delivery;Good knowledge in designing and supporting API-based integrations between platform capabilities, product systems and enterprise tooling;Proven experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with a strong understanding of GitOps tools (e.g., Github Enterprise), container registries, Helm charts, and modern deployment workflows. Terraform modules, configurations and standards for cloud platform delivery;Experience with аautomating platform engineering tasks, validations, integrations and operational workflows;Experience with working with containerized workloads and support deployment patterns for OpenShift/Kubernetes-based platforms;Experience with implementing monitoring, logging, alerting and operational dashboards for production environments;Great communication skills as well as self-motivation;Fluency in English – both written and spoken;University degree in IT or relevant.
