About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Application Developer to join our Digital Operator Solutions team at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance web applications that support our critical operational platforms. Your expertise will influence the architecture of our cloud infrastructure and software ecosystems, ensuring they are secure, resilient, and adaptable to future technological changes. You will serve as both a technical leader and a hands-on developer, guiding the full lifecycle of microservices-based applications from conceptualization through deployment and ongoing optimization. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with proven experience in modern web development and cloud architecture. You should demonstrate proficiency in TypeScript and Angular, with a solid understanding of cloud-based infrastructure, particularly AWS services such as S3 and Load Balancers. Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is essential, alongside a deep understanding of event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka. Expertise in NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB, and knowledge of ITIL frameworks and Agile methodologies are also required. Fluency in German is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly advantageous. Candidates should also have familiarity with German security and governmental compliance standards. Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle development of microservices-based web applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and quality standards.Define and evolve the company's IT architecture, including software design and infrastructure, to ensure scalability, security, and future readiness.Apply ITIL best practices to maintain operational excellence, participating actively in incident, problem, change, and release management processes.Manage relationships with external software development vendors, ensuring deliverables adhere to architectural and quality standards.Implement and enforce security policies through secure coding practices and configuration management to safeguard applications and data.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, performance, and developer productivity through technology upgrades and process optimizations.
