Wave International is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer ready to take the next step in their career and establish and lead our civil engineering capability within the Perth office.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a civil discipline while remaining heavily involved in technical project design and delivery.
You will play a key role in driving civil engineering outcomes across complex, multi-disciplinary projects within the mining, resources, and infrastructure sectors, while helping to build a high-performing team and expand Wave's civil project portfolio across Western Australia.
In this role, you will be responsible for and have the following qualifications and/or skills:
Lead civil engineering scopes across studies, detailed design, and project delivery phases.Deliver high-quality civil designs that comply with Australian Standards, client specifications and safety requirements.Perform and oversee civil design calculations, earthworks design, drainage design, road and access design, site development works, and associated engineering assessments.Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers as the team grows.Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve project objectives and resolve technical challenges.Undertake site visits and field investigations to support studies, design development, and project execution.Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to securing repeat and new work opportunities.Support proposal preparation, project estimates, tenders, and business development initiatives.Bachelor of Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.Minimum 8+ years' experience in civil engineering, within mining, resources, heavy industry, or consulting environments.Demonstrated capability leading civil engineering deliverables across multidisciplinary projects.Strong experience in civil design, technical review, engineering assessment, and design management.Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and contribute to business growth.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.This role may also be suited to, and we would encourage applications from; established Lead or Principal Civil Engineers seeking the opportunity to build and shape a civil engineering capability while maintaining a strong focus on technical excellence and project delivery.
