Role Description The Azure Engineer role at adesso as a service GmbH is a full-time, on-site position based in Berlin.
In this role, the Azure Engineer designs, implements, and maintains cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructures for internal and client projects.
Day-to-day tasks include deploying and managing Azure resources, configuring networking and security, automating infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring system performance and availability.
The Azure Engineer collaborates closely with software development teams to integrate applications with cloud services, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize costs and performance.
The role also involves documenting solutions, contributing to technical standards, and continuously evaluating new Azure services and tools to improve the overall cloud environment.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Cloud Computing concepts and practical experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., compute, storage, networking, security).Hands-on experience with Infrastructure design and implementation, including IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM/Bicep) and automation/scripting.Proficiency in Linux administration and familiarity with Windows Server environments in cloud and hybrid setups.Experience with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including deployment, performance tuning, and backup/restore strategies in Azure.Understanding of Software Development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and integration of applications with cloud-native services.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.Good communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage.Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are beneficial.
