We are looking for diverse top-notch individuals to join the Mercedes-Benz Team and uphold these hallmarks.Job Overview The Assoc, Operation Support is an entry-level, hands-on role designed to develop skilled technicians, painters, or body workers who contribute to the diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of Mercedes-Benz vehicles prior to their distribution. The Assoc, Operation Support will select a specific discipline – Mechanical, Paint, or Body, and receive structured, formal training in that area. Day-to-day, the Assoc, Operation Support supports senior members of their chosen discipline in all activities required to ensure vehicles are repaired, validated, and delivered to customers on schedule and in Mercedes-Benz quality standards. This position provides a unique opportunity to build foundational technical skills while contributing directly to vehicle readiness, quality, and throughput. Responsibilities:Technical Support & Execution (35%)Assist senior technicians in completing repairs, inspections, component replacements, and system diagnostics within chosen disciplinePerform basic mechanical, paint, or body tasks such as removing components, preparing work areas, handling tools, and completing assigned sub-tasks under supervisionSupport root-cause investigations and execution of corrective actionsDocument work performed in accordance with internal processes and quality standards Training & Skill Development (40%)Participate in company-provided formal training and certification pathways for the chosen disciplineMaintain required training progress and demonstrate growing proficiency in technical tasksLearn and apply standard operating procedures, safety practices, and technical workflows Vehicle Readiness & Workflow Support (25%)Prepare vehicles for senior technicians (e.g., staging, cleaning components, setting up diagnostic equipment, tagging and tracking parts, etc.)Support repair, paint, or body shop organization, inventory management, and tool upkeep to ensure efficient workflowAssist in quality checks and post-repair validation activities as direction Safety & ComplianceFollow all safety protocols related to mechanical, paint, or body work; tooling; lifts; PPE; and hazardous materials handlingImmediately identify and escalate safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or non-standard or unsafe conditionsEnsure adherence to company policies, environmental requirements, and work instructions QualifikationenQualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent Experience· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience (professional, educational, military, or hobbyist)· Prior automotive, mechanical, or technical exposure (trade school, apprenticeship, shop experience, etc.) preferred· Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or diagnostic equipment preferred· Basic understanding of automotive systems preferred Skills· Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn automotive discipline (mechanical, paint, or body)· Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment Additional InformationPhysical & Work Environment Requirements· Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.· Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods· Ability to work in shop conditions Success Factors· Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take initiative· Commitment to safety and quality· Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge· Team- and customer-first mindset with flexibility to support shifting repair priorities· Positive attitude and desire to grow into a fully skilled technician, painter, or body worker EEO Statement Mercedes-Benz USA is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that appreciates and leverages the diversity of our team.
