Highland Homes is currently accepting resumes for a Full-Stack Developer position. This position requires hands-on experience developing and maintaining web applications using Laravel. The Full-Stack Developer will develop, maintain, and enhance customer-centric websites and web-based applications that provide an exceptional online experience. Primary responsibilities include front-end development, back-end integrations, database design and optimization, XML feeds, troubleshooting, and modernization of existing code. The Developer must be comfortable managing multiple projects and balancing immediate priorities with long-term objectives. This is a Hybrid (onsite and remote) role. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of front-end solutions, back-end services, and databases powering multiple customer-facing websites and applicationsConsistently create well-designed, tested, quality code using best practicesContribute to continual improvement by suggesting enhancements for functionality, architecture and user experienceCommunicate with project teams to update on progress/statusDeliver solutions in a timely mannerProvide support and troubleshooting assistance for websites and apps developed by the teamSet & follow corporate standards for development practicesWork cohesively with other team members, both technical and non-technicalOther duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience (7+ years with high school diploma) required3+ years of full-stack development in a PHP / LAMP environment (back-end, front-end and some server management) required3+ years experience with database development using MySQL or similar required1+ years experience developing with Vue.js or other front-end framework (Angular, React, etc.) requiredExcellent front-end skills, including HTML, CSS preprocessors and modern JavaScript requiredExpertise in source control, code review and repository management with git or similar requiredLaravel experience requiredStrong understanding of RESTful APIs requiredExperience developing native/hybrid mobile applications preferredXML experience preferredGood analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in a self-directed, team-oriented environmentComfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skills Highland offers a competitive benefit package, including excellent medical / dental / prescription benefits, Employee Stock Option Plan, 401(k), new home purchase discounts, & more – all in a business casual atmosphere!
