About the Company At Juo, we're building software for businesses that want to build, run and scale their subscription offering. Business model-wise, Juo is a B2B SaaS. Our initial and current focus has been on direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands selling physical products, but our goal is to make Juo components applicable in any industry where a subscription model can be applied for selling things. Especially subscriptions containing physical products. The team is lean and consists only of very experienced people. We had built other successful businesses together. We’d built unsuccessful some too and learned a ton from that. We’re backed by fantastic investors (MOC, Peak, Kogito, SMOK) and advisors, including domain experts from companies such as PayU, Piwik PRO, and Your KAYA. We’ve raised our seed round in November. About the Role We’re looking for a Design Engineer who obsesses over both how things look and how they work. You’ll take complex, ambiguous problems and turn them into polished, production-ready interfaces. This is a high-impact hybrid role: you’ll design modern, component-driven experiences and bring them to life as fully functioning prototypes, ensuring everything feels fast, consistent, and native to AI workflows. You’ll be working closely with engineers and other designers, you’ll translate technical possibilities and customer needs into seamless, scalable experiences. If you’re excited by design systems, AI-native interactions, and raising the bar on user experience, this role is for you. Responsibilities Play a major part in shaping the product’s UI architecture and design system,Combine design and code skills to holistically understand product,Have a lot of freedom and ownership in day-to-day tasks,Help you broaden your current superpowers with new exciting ones,Talking to customers to gain additional edge in product building.Own complex UI challenges end-to-end — from ambiguous problems and early concepts through high-fidelity design to production-ready, pixel-perfect implementation.Design and ship innovative interfaces and interactions that deliver an impeccable experiencesBuild and evolve a scalable, component-driven design system that bridges beautiful UI with clean, maintainable code.Research and adopt modern tools, frameworks, and best practices in design, frontend development, and AI interfaces.Architect intuitive, consistent product experiences that scale across multiple surfaces while remaining logical for both users and developers.Gather insights from users, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure designs drive both business goals and exceptional usability.Champion quality, accessibility, performance, and consistency across the entire product suite.
