Front End Mobile Engineer – Contract Position– HIRING ASAP Location: Dublin – 1 week per month in office Start Date: ASAP Duration: 11-month contract with extension Daily Rate: €400 per day Summary As a Business Analyst working on the Post-Award Services Transformation, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our clients’ research administration and post-award systems and services. Sitting at the intersection of Finance, IT, and Research and Innovation Services, you will analyse, map, and help transform the processes that support our clients’ academic community after external research funding has been secured. Requirements You bring strong front-end engineering experience with a focus on building scalable, maintainable user interfaces using Angular, HTML, and CSS. You are comfortable applying object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and modern Angular capabilities such as state management with ngRx and signal-based stores to deliver high-quality digital experiences. Your background includes developing responsive web and mobile applications across Angular, iOS, and Android platforms. You have hands-on experience delivering hybrid mobile solutions using Ionic, Capacitor, or similar frameworks, while also understanding native mobile development concepts and platform-specific capabilities. Experience integrating native functionality through custom plugins, SDKs, and mobile platform APIs is highly valued. You have experience developing, integrating, and consuming RESTful APIs and backend services, with a solid understanding of secure application design, authentication, data protection, and cloud-aware engineering practices. Exposure to designing and supporting scalable API-driven solutions is an advantage. You are familiar with mobile application lifecycle management, including performance optimization, troubleshooting, release management, and deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Experience monitoring application health through analytics, crash reporting, logging, and observability tools is desirable. You are familiar with modern delivery practices, including CI/CD, automated quality checks, and DevOps ways of working. Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar or equivalent code quality platforms, and test automation frameworks such as Playwright will help you be effective in this role. You communicate technical concepts clearly, collaborate effectively with teams across locations and time zones, and demonstrate the ability to take initiative while working through ambiguity. You value shared ownership, thoughtful problem solving, and practical delivery practices that support reliable outcomes. Collaborating with engineering managers, produce managers, architects, developers, and application teams to translate customer needs into secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions. Working closely with UX/UI designers to transform experience designs into intuitive, accessible, and production-ready mobile screens. Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, resilient API capabilities that power core NetBenefits experiences. Contributing to strong engineering practices through high-quality code, code reviews, test automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Supporting application quality and reliability by improving automated testing, release readiness, observability, and production health across frequent app changes. Providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members while actively contributing to a collaborative engineering culture.
