Description

For one of the Netherlands’ leading banks, we are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to help build the next generation of frontend delivery services. You will work on the next generation of ING’s frontend delivery services. The team builds a platform for Web Components used globally within ING, with an immediate focus on the migration of the Frontend Controller to Java. What will you do? Work across the full development lifecycle, from refinement to monitoring in production.Contribute to the migration of the Frontend Controller to Java.Maintain and support existing products.Support incident management.Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation once every 4–8 weeks.Contribute to product risk documentation and the squad roadmap. Please note: For this position, we can only consider candidates who are currently living in the Netherlands. What do you bring? Strong hands-on experience with Java 21 (LTS).Practical experience with the Java Stream API.Working knowledge of functional programming concepts.Hands-on experience with Kafka.Experience with Spring Boot and microservices.Strong experience with Azure and Azure DevOps.Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.Knowledge of Elasticsearch/Kibana.Knowledge of networking (DNS, HTTP) and security (TLS, PKI).Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/DevOps environment.
