Are you an experienced frontend developer looking for the right place to build solutions that matter? Join a global team working on OpenGDDS, a digital product that supports nonclinical research through semantic search and automated document creation.
The agentic system is built across Databricks and bespoke AWS infrastructure, with the frontend developed in Vue.js.
You will take ownership of the design, development, and evolution of the user interface, working closely with UX/UI, backend, data, AI, infrastructure, and product colleagues in a cross-functional, international setup.
Your responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and improve scalable frontend applications using TypeScript and Vue.jsTranslate UX/UI designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible, and maintainable user experiencesContribute to frontend architecture and communicate clearly about what can be built, scaled, and maintainedIntegrate the frontend with backend services, APIs, and search capabilities across the OpenGDDS platformBuild MVPs and experiment with new approaches while keeping a strong focus on quality and long-term maintainabilitySupport engineering quality through unit testing, end-to-end testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvementCollaborate across locations and disciplines to deliver effective solutions for researchers and scientific stakeholders
Requirements:
BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant fieldAt least 5 years of experience in frontend software developmentStrong knowledge of TypeScript and Vue.js (or a similar SPA framework such as React or Angular)Broad understanding of software development, including system architecture and coding for scaleAbility to communicate technical possibilities and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical colleaguesPractical interest in experimentation and building MVPsAbility to work independently with a high degree of ownership, openness to feedback, and reliability in meeting deadlinesFluent English, written and spoken
