Lead product development for a humanoid robotics program moving from prototype toward production. You will identify valuable industrial use cases, conduct customer discovery, analyze the competitive landscape, define requirements and roadmap priorities across hardware and software, and balance functionality with production cost.
Highlights
Own product strategy from customer discovery through roadmap and production, working across hardware and software while addressing real industrial use cases and commercial viability.
Description
Product Manager – Humanoid Robotics (Munich)
Help bring a humanoid robot from prototype to production, one that does useful work, reliably, at a cost that makes sense.
AI Futures is partnering with a Munich-based humanoid robotics company that is moving from prototype to production.
Their goal isn't a lab demo: they want a humanoid that customers actually deploy, because it performs real tasks dependably and at a viable cost.
They're now hiring a Product Manager to define what that robot needs to be and to steer it to market.
What you'll do
Find the work worth automating.
Run customer discovery with industrial partners, understand their tasks, and identify the use cases a humanoid can win.Know the competition.
Analyse the humanoid landscape and pinpoint the gaps where the product can lead.Own the roadmap and requirements.
Turn customer needs and market insight into clear product requirements across hardware and software.Make the cost trade-offs.
Work with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to balance performance, reliability and cost, including BOM and target costing.Scale what works.
Turn successful deployments into repeatable use cases that can be rolled out across customers.Drive the product lifecycle.
Guide the product through a structured stage-gate and NPI process, from concept to series production.
What you bring
A degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or a similar field.Experience as a product manager, or a strong move into product, for a physical, electromechanical product, such as robots, exoskeletons, medical devices, e-drives, power tools, drones or similar.Hands-on experience defining hardware requirements and making cost versus performance decisions.Exposure to structured product development, such as stage-gate, NPI, or automotive and VDA-style processes.Comfort with customers: you enjoy being on-site and turning messy real-world problems into product decisions.Fluent English.
German is a strong plus.
Nice to have
Robotics, humanoid or legged systems experience.A background as a design or development engineer before moving into product.Startup or scale-up experience.
What's on offer
Competitive base salary, performance bonus and a VSOP, giving you real ownership in the company.A central role shaping one of Europe's most ambitious humanoid programmes.A Munich-based, hands-on team where product decisions ship in hardware.
