About The Team The Direct Surfaces Team’s mission is to make it delightful for users to manage their money. We’re rebuilding and unbundling the core of Stripe so that no matter what the business, the location or use-case there is a single place that can fulfil all financial needs: Stripe Treasury. What you’ll do Fullstack engineers at Stripe are comfortable working on new products under fluid conditions, seamlessly balancing tactical and strategic considerations. Responsibilities Scope and lead technical projects, laying the groundwork for our products to iteratively evolve and scaleDesign, build, expand and maintain UIs their related APIs and servicesWork with our partners to design and launch new features and capabilitiesAlign our technical decisions with Stripe’s broad strategic initiatives, while also advocating for needs specific to emerging new businessesWork with engineers across the company to understand when existing infrastructure can be leveraged vs. when building a bespoke solution is prudentDevelop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmaps. Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation Who you are We’re looking for fullstack software engineers with experience building scalable products who have an eye for detail and are happy delivering changes at any layer of the technical stack. Engineering works closely with a variety of teams: Sales and Support to better understand our customers’ needs, Legal and Accounting to understand how global policies influence our money-moving infrastructure, etc. Preferred Qualifications Strong React ExpertiseHave experience using React NativeHave experience in ensuring great user experience and ease of use of features for products you build.Have experience with financial product companies and interest in financial products and markets In-office expectations Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible. Pay and benefits The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is £104,800 - £157,200. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
