Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Drive the vision and architecture for scalable, secure backend systems. • Translate business objectives into impactful backend initiatives. • Own backend projects from concept through to delivery and ongoing maintenance. • Champion high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability. • Mentor and guide backend engineers, fostering team growth and autonomy. • Make critical architectural decisions to ensure platform scalability and resilience. • Lead improvements in monitoring, observability, and developer workflows. • Embed security best practices into the backend design and implementation. What You'll Need • Demonstrated seniority through a drive for continuous improvement and ownership. • Strong proficiency in Python, C++, Node.js, and backend frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Flask, FastAPI). • Hands-on experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, EC2, SQS). • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform. • Proven experience building and operating high-throughput, large-scale data flow systems. • Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana). • Solid understanding of networking principles and cloud security best practices. • Experience working in agile teams within fast-paced tech environments. • Excellent English communication skills (C1+).
