Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer

Finbox CJSC | Yerevan | Full-time | On-site Finbox is looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer to take ownership of the company’s critical IT and network infrastructure. Finbox is a licensed payment organization operating its own ATM network and payment infrastructure, with direct integrations to banks and payment systems. Reliability, security and availability of our infrastructure are business-critical. This is a hands-on engineering role. We are looking for someone who can design infrastructure and personally configure, troubleshoot, document and maintain it. Key Responsibilities Own and maintain Finbox’s server, network and connectivity infrastructure.Design, configure and administer routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and network segmentation.Manage secure connectivity between Finbox, ATMs, banks, processing systems, data centers and external service providers.Configure and administer Fortinet / FortiGate infrastructure.Maintain servers, virtualization environments and core infrastructure services.Monitor infrastructure availability, performance and capacity.Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring and alerting.Manage privileged access, infrastructure configurations and configuration backups.Maintain network diagrams, infrastructure inventory and technical documentation.Support backup, restore and disaster recovery processes and testing.Participate in vulnerability and patch management and remediation of security findings.Troubleshoot infrastructure and connectivity incidents and perform root-cause analysis.Coordinate technical work with ISPs, data centers, banks and external technology providers.Support ATM network deployment and connectivity from the infrastructure side.Work closely with the CTO and Information Security function on infrastructure security and regulatory requirements.Participate in ISO 27001, PCI DSS and CBA-related infrastructure and security initiatives.Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience in network and IT infrastructure engineering.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP and network segmentation.Practical experience with firewalls and network security.Experience with Fortinet / FortiGate is highly preferred.Experience administering Windows and/or Linux server environments.Experience with virtualization, monitoring, backup and infrastructure management tools.Understanding of high availability, backup and business continuity principles.Ability to independently troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure incidents.Strong documentation discipline.Experience in banking, fintech, payment systems, telecom or another high-availability environment is an advantage.Armenian required; Russian and technical English are preferred.What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will establish clear internal ownership of Finbox’s infrastructure, maintain accurate architecture and configuration documentation, improve monitoring and incident management, reduce dependency on external infrastructure providers, and ensure that critical systems are secure, resilient and manageable internally.
