Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer

Role Description The Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer is a full-time on-site role based in Tbilisi. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to ensure the reliability and quality of OMNO’s payment orchestration platform. Day-to-day tasks include creating and executing test cases, performing both manual and automated tests, collaborating with developers and product teams to clarify requirements, and identifying, documenting, and tracking defects. The engineer will participate in code reviews from a quality perspective, contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and help improve QA processes, standards, and tooling across the team. Qualifications Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing principles, including test design and defect management.Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Test Cases and test suites for complex web or backend systems.Practical skills in Manual Testing of APIs, user interfaces, and integrations, with attention to detail and reproducibility.Proficiency in QA Automation, including scripting automated tests and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.Experience with common test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST API testing tools).Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).Understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.Ability to analyze complex technical problems, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and document findings effectively.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in fintech, payments, or high-availability transactional systems is an advantage.
