To strengthen our development team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to develop and continuously improve our server-side applications and software infrastructure.
Your Tasks
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will take an important role in the architecture and development of our backend systems.
Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and backend services.Develop scalable and maintainable microservice architectures.Develop software primarily using C++ and C#.Design and maintain APIs and interfaces between applications, services, and industrial devices.Work with databases, data processing, and communication between distributed systems.Ensure performance, reliability, security, and scalability of backend applications.Integrate data and services from connected industrial devices and automation systems.Collaborate closely with frontend, firmware, hardware, and product development teams.Support testing, debugging, deployment, and continuous improvement of existing applications.Contribute to software architecture and long-term technology decisions.
Your Profile
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.Several years of professional experience in backend and server-side software development.Strong programming skills in C++ and C#.Solid experience with microservices and distributed software architectures.Strong understanding of server applications, APIs, databases, and backend architecture.Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.Familiarity with Docker, Linux, CI/CD, and cloud or server infrastructure is an advantage.Experience with MQTT, IoT, industrial communication, or connected devices is a strong advantage.Knowledge of industrial automation or communication protocols such as Modbus, PROFIBUS, Foundation Fieldbus, or similar is an advantage.Experience with Python and AI/data applications is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to software development.Able to take ownership of technical topics and contribute to long-term product development.Good communication skills and ability to work effectively across different engineering disciplines.Fluent English; Slovak or German is an advantage.
