Software Engineer (.NET)

About the Role StormGeo is seeking a Software Engineer (.NET) to join our s-Insights team and play a key role in building and enhancing our software products for shipping. As a .NET Developer, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams - including product managers, designers, QA and other developers - to understand business needs and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Your expertise in software development, coding best practices, and problem-solving will play a key role in shaping reliable and user-friendly products that deliver real value to our clients. This position is open to candidates located within Lithuania, offering flexibility to work from our offices in Vilnius or Kaunas. Main Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain web applications and APIs to meet business needs.Create frameworks and libraries for use by other teams to improve efficiency and code reusability.Ensure application security by following best practices and implementing secure coding standards.Optimize application performance for scalability and efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.Conduct code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.Maintain documentation for development processes, system architecture, and codebases. Core Requirements 3+ years of experience with .NET and ASP.NET developmentExperience with SQL databases.Experience in API development (REST or gRPC).Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Understanding of software development best practices (code quality, security, performance).Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Understanding of application containerization (Docker).Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar).Experience in system architecture design (Clean Architecture or other patterns).Familiarity with application monitoring (logs, metrics, observability tools).Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS is a plus).
