DevOps Engineer

An established public sector organisation is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team. This role focuses on the development and integration of modern infrastructure solutions within an on-premise environment. The successful candidate will play a key part in automating operational processes and ensuring high system availability through proactive monitoring and incident management. What you'll be doing • Developing and integrating virtualisation, container, and monitoring solutions • Diagnosing and resolving incidents using blameless post-mortems for sustainable error elimination • Monitoring SLO alerts and error budgets to ensure compliance with service level agreements • Identifying optimisation potential in daily operations and continuously automating workflows • Managing technical operations across Linux platforms and modern infrastructure tools What we're looking for • Degree in Information Technology or a comparable professional qualification • Extensive practical experience in IT operations, production support, and system administration • Strong proficiency in working with Linux platforms and solid knowledge of ITIL principles • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Prometheus, and Terraform • Professional fluency in German and good English language skills What's on offer • Above-average compensation package • Employer-funded pension scheme contribution after the probationary period • Up to 30 days of annual leave • A structured 35-hour working week with no shift work • Flexible hybrid working options by arrangement Apply via Hyra to be considered for this opportunity.
