About The Role Airbus Defence and Space GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Application Developer (d/f/m) to join its dynamic Digital Operator Solutions team in Germany. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable web applications that underpin critical operational systems. Your expertise will influence the architecture and deployment of microservices-based solutions, ensuring they are secure, resilient, and adaptable to future technological advancements. Working closely with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, you will serve as a technical leader and innovator to optimize our digital ecosystem. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills and relevant experience, including proficiency in modern web development frameworks and cloud architecture. Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Angular, and cloud services such as AWS is essential. Certifications in Kubernetes, experience managing offshore development teams, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines will be considered advantageous. Fluency in German and proficiency in English are required, along with a solid understanding of German security and governmental compliance standards. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A background in ITIL frameworks and Agile methodologies is also desirable. Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle development of microservices-based web applications, from initial design through testing, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards.Define and evolve the company's IT architecture, including software design and infrastructure, to support scalability, security, and future growth.Apply ITIL best practices to ensure operational excellence, actively participating in incident, problem, change, and release management processes.Manage relationships with external software development vendors, overseeing deliverables to meet quality and architectural standards.Implement and enforce security policies by adopting secure coding practices and maintaining rigorous application configuration standards.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, performance, and developer productivity, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices.
