About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer (m/w/d) to join our innovative team at Fork Unstable Media GmbH. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and maintainable backend systems that support our clients' digital strategies. You will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to create robust platform architectures, integrate third-party systems via modern APIs, and implement automation and DevOps best practices to streamline development workflows. Your expertise will also be vital in providing technical guidance to project managers and clients, ensuring that solutions are not only effective today but also scalable for future growth. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on complex PHP enterprise projects.Proven expertise in modern PHP frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel.Deep understanding of CMS and DXP platforms, including Ibexa DXP, TYPO3, or Craft CMS, along with their architectural concepts.Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including server administration, containerization with Docker, and automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD).Strong grasp of software development standards including Clean Code, object-oriented programming (OOP), and agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.Structured and solution-oriented working style with a passion for innovative web technologies and a proactive mindset for contributing ideas.Excellent communication skills to effectively advise project teams and clients on technical solutions. Responsibilities Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend architectures aligned with current web standards.Set up and manage complex platform structures utilizing Ibexa DXP, TYPO3, or Craft CMS, ensuring robustness and flexibility.Integrate third-party systems such as ERP, PIM, and CRM through REST and GraphQL APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including Docker environments and automated CI/CD pipelines, to optimize deployment and development processes.Provide technical consultation and guidance to project managers and clients, translating complex technical concepts into understandable solutions.Identify opportunities for process improvements, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices within development teams.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance our backend infrastructure and capabilities.
