Software Engineer

We are partnering with a pioneering cloud platform that empowers businesses to monetize digital business models and become European market leaders in subscription management solutions. Their innovative SaaS product enables scale-ups and international corporations to launch new services faster and elevate financial process automation, with their software used in over 70 countries worldwide. The Role Design, implement, and maintain microservices for the payment domain using Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, and Kubernetes. Apply experience with relational and NoSQL databases to select appropriate solutions. Develop intuitive UIs with React, TypeScript, and Material UI for efficient and secure processing of complex payment transactions. Ensure code extensibility and readability through Clean Code principles, especially in critical financial operations. Proactively identify and resolve technical issues through tracking, alerts, and monitoring before they impact customers. Provide support to users and customer support, finding pragmatic solutions for technical problems. Maintain a high quality standard with automated tests across relevant testing levels for sustainable product development. Operate platform services in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS clouds in close collaboration with DevOps. What You'll Need Several years of experience in software development with strong Java skills, ideally with Spring Boot and other relevant tech stack components. Experience with external APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous event processing, preferably in payment, fintech, or integration environments. Familiarity with payment service providers like Adyen or Stripe is a plus, but not required. Passion for clean system architectures, domain-driven design, microservices, and hexagonal architecture, with practical experience preferred. Proactive approach to refactoring existing code to ensure maintainable solutions and clear separation of responsibilities. Collaborative mindset, enjoying cross-functional work, knowledge sharing through pair programming, and continuous team development. Willingness to use AI as a sparring partner and tool in daily development, exploring new AI-supported tools for efficiency. Fluent German (min. B2) and good English language skills.
