🚀 Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer 💷 £60,000 – £65,000 📍 Remote anywhere in the UK We're hiring an experienced Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer to take genuine end-to-end ownership of a growing healthcare platform used to support thousands of people across the UK. This isn't a role where you'll own one small component within a huge engineering team. You'll be joining a growing digital function and taking ownership of a suite of in-house products built on Ruby on Rails, with the freedom to influence architecture, technical standards and how the platform evolves as the organisation continues to scale. The environment: • Ruby on Rails • PostgreSQL • JavaScript • Hotwire – Turbo / Stimulus • Bootstrap / Tailwind CSS • REST APIs • Heroku / AWS • GitHub • Twilio and third-party integrations You'll be working across the full product lifecycle - building new functionality, improving existing systems, managing integrations and APIs, supporting production environments and helping bring more of the platform's technical ownership in-house. We're particularly interested in developers who have: ✅ Strong commercial Ruby on Rails experience ✅ Worked across both backend and frontend development ✅ Built and integrated REST APIs ✅ Experience with PostgreSQL ✅ Exposure to AWS and/or Heroku ✅ Confidence working with Git / GitHub and modern development practices ✅ The ability to take ownership of a product with minimal oversight Experience within healthcare, regulated environments, security, authentication, CI/CD or native mobile integrations would be a bonus, but isn't essential.
