AI Front-End Engineer

£560 per day (Inside IR35) | 12-Month Contract | Remote with Occasional London Travel We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer (Front End) to join a major government programme delivering innovative AI-enabled digital services and user experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI adoption, helping to design and develop intuitive, user-centric interfaces that leverage emerging AI technologies to transform public sector services. Key Responsibilities Develop and enhance AI-enabled user interfaces and digital experiences Build responsive, accessible, and scalable front-end applications Collaborate with product, UX, data, and AI teams to integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing solutions Contribute to the design and implementation of modern web and mobile experiences Ensure solutions meet government standards for accessibility, security, and performance Participate in agile development practices and continuous improvement initiatives Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Front End Engineer/Developer delivering modern digital products Strong experience building AI-enabled applications or user experiences Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue Experience integrating AI/LLM technologies into digital products Strong understanding of UX, accessibility, and responsive design Experience working within UK Government or Public Sector environments (essential) Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams Eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS clearance Desirable Experience Experience developing mobile applications (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, etc.) Familiarity with GenAI platforms, copilots, conversational interfaces, or AI-assisted workflows Knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP Contract Details Role: AI Engineer (Front End) Rate: £560 per day IR35: Inside IR35 Duration: 12 months Location: Remote, with occasional travel to London Clearance: BPSS Eligible Start: ASAP LA International is an award-winning partner of choice for many of the world's most influential companies and government organisations.
