Salesforce Development Lead | EL1 | Federal Government
12-month contract | ACT, Sydney or Melbourne | Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Development Lead to join a large federal government ICT program on an initial 12-month contract.
This is a technical leadership role suited to a senior Salesforce developer who can provide hands-on technical guidance while leading development activities across a complex enterprise environment.
You will lead the design, development and implementation of Salesforce solutions, providing technical direction to development teams and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and aligned with architecture and engineering standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing technical leadership across Salesforce development activitiesDesigning and developing Salesforce Vlocity solutions using OmniStudio, OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures and DataRaptorsWorking with Apex, Lightning Components and Salesforce APIsDeveloping and supporting integrations including REST APIs and Platform EventsConducting code reviews and ensuring development standards and governance are maintainedSupporting deployments across development, test and production environmentsContributing to CI/CD, DevOps and test automation practicesWorking closely with solution architects, developers, UI/UX and accessibility specialistsSupporting Agile delivery and participating in Scrum activitiesBuilding team capability through mentoring, collaboration and knowledge sharingContributing to continuous improvement of development processes and practices
Essential experience includes:
Strong experience with OOP, frameworks, design patterns and integrationsAdvanced Salesforce experience across Apex, Lightning Components and Salesforce APIsStrong Salesforce Vlocity / OmniStudio experienceExperience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud and/or Health CloudExperience with source control and package-based developmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience building team capability and improving development practices
Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, OmniStudio Developer/Consultant or Salesforce Architect are highly desirable.
Experience with GitLab, Jira, VS Code, DevOps practices and delivery of multiple Salesforce CRM implementations in Agile environments will also be highly regarded.
