Senior Frontend Developer

Senior UI Developer – Melbourne We’re looking for an experienced Senior UI Developer to take ownership of the design, development and ongoing maintenance of a scalable UI design system for a well-established travel technology business. This role requires more than strong coding ability. We need someone with an excellent eye for modern web design who can create intuitive, visually appealing interfaces while introducing structure and consistency across the platform. You will build reusable components, templates and CSS standards that enable development teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable applications used by travel agencies worldwide. What you’ll be doing: • Designing, building and maintaining a comprehensive UI component and template library • Establishing CSS standards and reusable design patterns • Creating modern, intuitive interfaces for data, forms and user controls • Documenting components so they can be consistently used by other developers • Improving existing screens and components across the platform • Ensuring designs are responsive, accessible and aligned with brand guidelines • Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective user experiences • Supporting and mentoring team members on UI and design best practices • Providing time and cost estimates for project work What we’re looking for: • At least five years’ commercial UI or front-end development experience • Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills • Hands-on experience creating design systems, component libraries or reusable UI frameworks • Experience working with .NET, C#, Razor and SQL environments • Strong understanding of UI/UX, responsive design, accessibility and usability • Experience with Figma and other design tools such as Photoshop • A portfolio demonstrating modern, polished and user-friendly web interfaces • Clean, structured and maintainable coding practices • Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder-management skills • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of UI standards and shape the look, feel and usability of a global travel technology platform.
