About The Team You'll be part of the Java Platform Team within ING's Accounts & Cash Management Domain, supporting critical financial services and payment capabilities. Working in a multidisciplinary Agile environment, you'll collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and platform specialists across multiple locations. Together, you'll help deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions that support essential banking operations. What You'll Do As an Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the operational health of our platforms by: Owning platform availability, reliability, performance, and operational stabilityLeading application lifecycle management, infrastructure upgrades, and platform migrationsDriving risk remediation, security initiatives, and regulatory compliance activitiesManaging major incidents and coordinating service restoration effortsPerforming root cause analysis and implementing preventive measuresEnhancing observability through monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and operational runbooksAutomating operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effortCollaborating with engineering, architecture, security, and platform teams to deliver resilient solutionsSupporting IT Operations processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management What You'll Bring We're looking for a technology professional who combines strong operational expertise with a continuous improvement mindset. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of experience in Operations Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps environmentsStrong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including Repositories, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts, and Test PlansExpertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes administration and supportExperience with Linux administration, shell scripting, and automationStrong knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetryExperience with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)Understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Proven experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and service restorationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skillsExperience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing long-term fixes What Makes You Successful Customer-focused and driven to improve service reliabilityProactive in identifying and solving operational challengesComfortable working in Agile and international environmentsPassionate about automation, standardization, and continuous improvementStrong communicator who can simplify complex technical concepts Why Join ING?
