Website Developer - Volunteer

This role will directly support our mission of empowering women, reducing social isolation and creating opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds. What are we looking for? We’re looking for a creative and reliable volunteer with experience in website development, design or content management working with Wordpress. You should be confident working with an existing website, able to suggest practical improvements and have a good eye for user-friendly design. We value someone who is approachable, collaborative, organised and willing to share their expertise. Essential skills include HTML/CSS, responsive web design, CMS experience (such as WordPress), website accessibility and basic SEO. Experience with UX/UI design and website performance is desirable. You should be confident working with an existing site, recommending improvements and implementing agreed changes, while working collaboratively with our team. Remote What will you be doing? We’re looking for a volunteer website developer to review and revamp our existing website, making it more modern, engaging, user-friendly and accessible. Key tasks include reviewing the current site, recommending improvements, refreshing the design and layout, improving navigation and content presentation and implementing agreed changes. You’ll work with our team and especially our communication and marketing officer to understand our needs and create a website that better connects with our community and visitors.
