DevOps Engineer

Job Title: AWS DevOps Engineer (Python) Location: Cracow, Poland Office Requirement: 6 days/month Contract Type: Long Term B2B Contract Job Overview We are looking for an experienced DevOps / AWS Cloud Engineer to join a global cloud services team supporting multiple project teams worldwide in adopting cloud technologies as part of a Cloud First strategy. The role is ideal for someone passionate about AWS who has hands-on experience designing, deploying, automating, and supporting workloads across a broad range of AWS services. You will work alongside experienced engineers, architects, and cloud specialists in an agile environment, delivering highly resilient, scalable, secure, and automated cloud solutions. The position combines development, cloud engineering, automation, and operational support, with opportunities to take ownership of projects and contribute to innovative technical solutions. Key Responsibilities Work with application teams to deploy and support applications on AWS.Develop automation solutions using Python.Create and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform where required.Lead and contribute to major incident investigations.Provide rotational 24/7 on-call and operational support.Develop, enhance, and maintain AWS security controls.Improve compliance dashboards and related reporting.Support enterprise infrastructure delivery across global teams.Manage technical projects and provide guidance to junior engineers.Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.Work according to DevOps and Agile principles, taking ownership of solutions throughout their lifecycle. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with AWS and a broad range of AWS services.Strong programming/scripting experience with Python.Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.Good knowledge of Git.Hands-on experience with Ansible.Practical understanding of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.Good understanding of Linux and/or Windows operating systems.Experience delivering and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions.Strong understanding of cloud security principles and secure solution delivery.Experience working in an operational environment with a “you build it, you own it, you support it” mindset.Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and participate in major incident management. Nice to Have Experience with Terraform.Experience with non-functional testing.Understanding of risk management and regulatory compliance.Experience implementing and maintaining security controls in AWS.Experience working with compliance and security dashboards.Experience working in large-scale or global cloud environments.
