Senior Azure DevOps & Kubernetes Platform Engineer Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Senior Azure DevOps & Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design, automate, secure, and support enterprise cloud platforms. This role will focus on Azure infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, CI/CD engineering, infrastructure as code, networking, security, and observability. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building scalable cloud environments, developing reusable automation, supporting production systems, and enabling engineering teams through standardized deployment platforms and self-service capabilities. Key Responsibilities Design and manage secure, scalable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.Build and operate enterprise Kubernetes platforms, including AKS and other managed Kubernetes environments.Develop reusable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Argo CD, or comparable tools.Automate cloud infrastructure deployment using Terraform and related infrastructure-as-code frameworks.Create and maintain Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, deployment templates, and GitOps workflows.Implement Azure landing zones, virtual networks, secure hubs, private endpoints, DNS, firewall policies, and hybrid connectivity.Manage container deployment, scaling, ingress, service mesh, RBAC, secrets, and cluster security.Integrate cloud platforms with identity and access-management solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID, service principals, OAuth2, and conditional access.Establish monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards using tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or New Relic.Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, CI/CD pipelines, and production applications.Support production reliability through incident response, root-cause analysis, postmortems, SLOs, and error-budget practices.Develop automation and internal platform tools using Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.Partner with application, security, network, data, and architecture teams to establish cloud standards and engineering guardrails.Create platform documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and delivery teams. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering.5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in enterprise production environments.Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture.Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining enterprise CI/CD pipelines.Advanced knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, RBAC, and cluster lifecycle management.Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.Strong understanding of Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, routing, private endpoints, Private Link, DNS, firewalls, and ExpressRoute.Experience integrating cloud environments with Microsoft Entra ID and enterprise identity controls.Proficiency in at least one automation language, preferably Python or Go.Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed observability.Strong understanding of cloud security, policy enforcement, secrets management, and least-privilege access.Proven experience supporting highly available, business-critical production platforms.Preferred Qualifications Experience designing Azure landing zones and enterprise disaster-recovery or cyber-resiliency environments.Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.Exposure to AWS or Google Cloud Platform and multi-cloud environments.Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, secure virtual WAN architecture, or enterprise network-security platforms.Experience operating GPU-enabled Kubernetes infrastructure or containerized AI/ML workloads.Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, or enterprise GenAI platforms.Experience with Backstage or another internal developer platform.Background supporting financial services or another highly regulated industry.Relevant Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, DevOps, or cloud-security certifications.
