About The Role As a DataOps Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the data and ontology pipelines that underpin SciBite’s technology stack. Working closely with Ontology and Data Science teams, you will contribute to the development of high-quality vocabularies and data products, while building automation and software solutions that improve efficiency and support customer outcomes. Responsibilities Maintain and develop critical ontology import pipelinesSupport the Ontology Team in updating and building new vocabularies and ontologiesProvide support for customer projects as requiredDevelop software to assist manual curation effortsDevelop and maintain automation pipelines across the DataOps teamWork with AWS Batch, Step Functions, and Lambda-based solutionsCollaborate closely with Data Science and Ontology teamsContribute to the continuous improvement of DataOps processes and tooling Requirements Experience in Python software developmentExperience working with pytest or unittest and participating in code reviewsProficiency with UNIX and command-line environmentsExperience using version control systems, ideally GitHubExperience working with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or AzureExcellent teamwork and problem-solving skillsExperience working in production environmentsExperience with cloud orchestration tools such as Puppet or TerraformExperience in Python GUI developmentExperience working with ontologies or XMLKnowledge of compute clusters and workflow management Work in a Way That Works for You We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
