Role Overview We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) to join our established 9-person DevOps & Infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, automate, and optimize modern multi-cloud landscapes and container platforms across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and T Cloud Public. You will work closely with development teams to ensure applications run securely, reliably, and efficiently from day one. Your Key Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code: Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud environments across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and T Cloud Public using Terraform.Container Operations: Operate, maintain, and continuously develop container platforms based on OKD/OpenShift and Docker.Platform Optimization: Maintain and optimize multi-cloud and system landscapes with a focus on high availability, performance, scalability, and security.CI/CD & Deployments: Plan, support, and execute smooth deployments, updates, and releases with minimal downtime.Incident Analysis: Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and complex incidents, developing long-term, sustainable solutions with your team.Standards & Operations: Define cross-platform standards for automation, monitoring, and secure cloud operations.Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work hand-in-hand with software development teams, document architectures and processes, and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.On-Call Rotation: Participate in the team’s paid on-call rotation after a structured onboarding process. What You Bring Professional Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering role.Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or T Cloud Public) and readiness to expand into multi-cloud setups.Containerization: Solid proficiency with Kubernetes-based container environments (specifically OKD or OpenShift) and Docker.IaC & Tooling: Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, as well as Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python).Languages: German proficiency at B2 level or higher is mandatory.Flexibility: Willingness to participate in shifts up to 6:00 PM and join the paid on-call rotation (approx. one week per month).Education & Certifications (Preferred): Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, an IT apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant cloud/Kubernetes certifications are a strong plus.
