Cloud Engineer with VMware and Nutanix - EU Institutions Luxembourg

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with hands on knowledge on VMware and Nutanix to join the team and lead the strategic design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Nutanix Cloud infrastructure. You will be part of a team and will work in coordination with the other entities of the Infrastructures and Operations domain. The operations of the service are based on ITIL standards. You will be responsible for the administration of the VMware and Nutanix environments and to keep the infrastructure in its optimum working capacity. Operating, maintaining and optimizing VMware vSphere environments across different network and security zonesManaging and supporting Nutanix virtualization clustersManaging VMware components such as ESXi, vCenter, vSAN and Site Recovery ManagerPerforming lifecycle activities, including patching, hotfixes, upgrades and obsolescence managementMonitoring platform capacity, availability and performance using VMware Aria OperationsSupporting disaster-recovery solutions based on VMware SRM and Nutanix Metro AvailabilityAutomating recurring operational and provisioning activities using PowerCLI and orchestration workflowsSupporting VM provisioning, resource changes, snapshot management and related requestsApplying security policies, secure configuration standards and architectural updatesInvestigating and resolving virtualization-related incidents and performance issuesCollaborating with storage, network, security and architecture teams on infrastructure changes and improvement initiatives These activities will lead you to be a regular interface between all the teams in the Infrastructure / Operations Domain and the application teams, as well as those from the various service centers .The IT Departement of this very important European Public Institution carries out numerous projects to constantly improve and optimize the processes. You will join the Architecture & Deployment team. Profile Your Qualifications: Relevant professional experience with virtualization platforms and infrastructure operationsMinimum of 3 years hands-on knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenterMinimum of 1 year practical experience with Nutanix clusters in a production environmentFamiliarity with technologies such as vSAN, VMware SRM and Nutanix Metro AvailabilityExperience with PowerCLI scripting or similar infrastructure-automation toolsFamiliarity with VMware Aria Operations or comparable monitoring and observability solutionsUnderstanding of storage concepts, SAN environments, replication and disaster-recovery architecturesExperience working with highly available or multi-site infrastructure environmentsA structured and dependable approach to operational work and incident resolutionGood communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a technical teamProfessional proficiency in English + French is considered an asset Our Offer A particularly attractive salary package, with many additional benefits, to attract the best of you.
