Description for Field Application Engineer (FAE) – Wafer Inspection Systems: We are looking for a talented Field Application Engineer to support advanced wafer inspection systems at semiconductor fabrication facilities in Dresden, Germany. This role is ideal for engineers with hands-on FAB experience who enjoy solving complex technical problems, working directly with customers, and optimizing cutting-edge inspection tools. What You'll Do • Provide on-site technical support for wafer inspection systems • Develop and optimize inspection recipes for defect detection and process monitoring • Collaborate with customer process engineers to improve yield and tool performance • Troubleshoot hardware, optics, software, and application issues • Analyze inspection data and deliver actionable insights • Support tool installation, qualification, and ramp-up • Deliver customer training and technical guidance What We’re Looking For • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in EE, Physics, Materials Science, or related field • Hands-on experience in a semiconductor FAB environment • Experience with inspection, or metrology • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes • Excellent problem-solving and customer-facing skills • Fluency in German is required • Experience in APPS or HW support within the semiconductor equipment industry is required • Student visa or working visa is required Advantage: Experience with advanced inspection or metrology systems from leading semiconductor equipment vendors * Please submit your CV in English Description for Field Service Engineer (FSE) – Wafer Inspection Systems: We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support advanced semiconductor inspection systems at customer's FAB in Dresden, Germany. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working with complex multidisciplinary equipment and solving real-world technical challenges in the field. What You’ll Do • Install, maintain, and repair high-precision inspection systems • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and optical issues • Troubleshoot system failures at component and subsystem levels • Perform preventive maintenance (PM), calibration, and system checks • Support hardware upgrades, modifications, and system improvements • Work closely with customer engineering teams to ensure tool performance and availability What We’re Looking For • B.Sc. / Practical Engineer (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field • Hands-on experience servicing complex equipment (preferably in semiconductor fabs or similar high-tech environments) • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical systems, electronics, and precision assemblies • Experience with optical systems or precision motion systems – an advantage • Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical documentation • Excellent problem-solving skills and customer-facing ability • Fluency in German is required • Experience in APPS or HW support within the semiconductor equipment industry is required • Student visa or working visa is required Advantage: Experience with advanced inspection, metrology, or other high-precision multidisciplinary systems from leading semiconductor equipment vendors * Please submit your CV in English
