For more information, visit: http://www.altenpolska.pl Location: Kraków - hybrid Tasks: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications based on a microservices architecture.Build scalable, high-performance services using Java 21+ and the Spring Framework.Contribute to architectural decisions and the evolution of a next-generation network management platform for mission-critical communication systems.Develop and integrate event-driven solutions using Kafka and Azure Event Hubs.Deploy and support applications running in cloud and Kubernetes environments.Optimize application performance, reliability, and availability.Design, manage, and improve PostgreSQL database solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and participate in code reviews.Create and maintain technical and architectural documentation.Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to improve software quality and team productivity. Requirements: 2+ years of experience in backend software development.Strong proficiency in Java 21+ and the Spring Framework.Hands-on experience designing and building microservices in distributed systems.Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and clean code practices.Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.Hands-on experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and Azure Event Hubs.Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, performance tuning, and optimization.Experience with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.Good understanding of Linux systems and scripting for automation.Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including protocols, routing, and network services.Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting high-availability backend services.Ability to communicate effectively in English in a technical and international environment.Proven experience using AI-powered development tools, such as GitHub Copilot and Google Gemini, to enhance software development workflows. Nice to Have: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Hands-on experience with lab environments, system installations, upgrades, and configurations.Experience creating and maintaining technical and architectural documentation.Ability to mentor other engineers and contribute to technical discussions.Previous experience working as an external contractor or consultant within Agile teams.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
