Platform Engineer

We’re partnering with a high-growth AI company developing intelligent digital employees that can take on complex operational workflows for enterprise businesses. Its platform combines AI systems with cloud infrastructure, distributed computing, enterprise software integrations, and secure access controls, enabling AI agents to operate across the tools and systems companies depend on every day. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll help build the technical foundation that allows these AI systems to operate securely and reliably at scale. You’ll work across infrastructure, backend services, cloud architecture, identity and access management, enterprise integrations, developer tooling, and production reliability. The role offers significant ownership and is well suited to an engineer who enjoys solving problems that span both infrastructure and software. What You’ll Own Architect and operate cloud infrastructure supporting the deployment and execution of AI-driven workloads across enterprise customer environments.Build core services around authentication, authorization, identity management, permissions, RBAC, access policies, and auditability.Develop secure connectivity between AI agents and business applications including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Teams, Zoom, email, telephony, and related communication platforms.Design and maintain integrations with enterprise systems such as NetSuite, SharePoint, Google Drive, SAP, Oracle, and other mission-critical applications.Create reusable infrastructure components and internal tooling for provisioning, configuring, deploying, and maintaining customer environments.Own production infrastructure from deployment through monitoring, observability, incident management, performance optimization, and ongoing reliability.Diagnose and address infrastructure constraints as the platform scales across customers, environments, and increasingly sophisticated workloads.Work closely with application and AI engineers to develop APIs, backend services, infrastructure abstractions, and internal engineering tools.Automate operational processes and deployment workflows to reduce manual effort and accelerate customer implementations.Establish security controls around authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, data protection, access governance, and system auditing.Help evolve the company’s infrastructure architecture as the product and customer base expand.Take technical projects from early design and architectural decisions through implementation, deployment, and long-term ownership.Contribute to engineering standards, infrastructure patterns, and technical decisions across the broader organization. What You Bring Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related technical field.2+ years of experience building and operating production software, cloud infrastructure, backend systems, or distributed platforms.Experience developing systems where reliability, scalability, security, and performance are important considerations.Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, IAM, RBAC, APIs, permissions, and distributed systems.Experience integrating software with enterprise SaaS platforms, productivity applications, communication tools, or other business-critical systems.Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, production deployments, observability, monitoring, incident response, and on-call environments.Ability to work across infrastructure and application layers when investigating and resolving complex technical issues.Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions for production systems.Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of projects from technical design through production operation.Exposure to enterprise security, SOC 2, compliance, data protection, access governance, or vendor security processes is a plus.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with software, AI, and infrastructure teams.Comfortable in an early-stage environment where engineers have broad ownership and priorities can evolve quickly.
