Senior Platform Engineer | New York City | $230,000 to $275,000 + equity TechShack are hiring for a venture-backed company building the execution platform behind complex AI and human workflows. This is the core platform seat. You will build the TypeScript framework, SDK and runtime that every other engineer builds on, sitting on a distributed, event-sourced architecture designed for correctness, replay ability and scale. Greenfield, senior IC, no management track. What you will build The TypeScript SDK, framework and runtime powering long-running AI and human workflowsDistributed event-sourced systems. Event stores, CQRS, projections and replayable stateWorkflow execution models, orchestration and state machines for long-running processesClean developer-facing abstractions that make hard distributed systems simple to build on What you need Senior software engineering background with deep distributed systems experienceHands-on event sourcing, CQRS, projections, event stores or replayable architecturesStrong TypeScript, ideally including advanced type-system designExperience designing SDKs, frameworks, runtimes or developer platformsStrong hands-on coding. This is an engineering role, not architecture only Nice to have AI agents or agent orchestration platformsDurable execution tooling such as TemporalSchema-driven development, DSLs or code generationExperience in a highly regulated environment Five days a week on site in Manhattan.
